In 1987, William "Billy" Stellmach opened his doors as Statewide Mechanical in a small shop in Rahway, NJ servicing residential HVAC customers in the nearby area. His vision was to create a service company that nurtured relationships and fostered an open and honest discussion about each client's HVAC needs.
In 1989, James Schachel joined the company which allowed Statewide Mechanical to add Plumbing to its list of services. Together the business has grown exponentially. You can still find us in Rahway, but now you'll see our trucks across the tri-state area servicing office buildings, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, restaurants, residential homes and more. Our client base has grown through word-of-mouth. We're still working with the same customers who helped us get our start because of great customer service, creativity and loyalty. That loyalty extends to our employees as well. Most have been with us for over 10 years.
